*Untold Fact About Modding [#h89f93f1]
-''Mephisto Tamer''
4 of the 5 monster packs in the Throne of Destuction were changed to Andariel, Duriel, Mephisto and Diablo in ES 3.00.
These act bosses were given some minions in patch N. But it proved Mephisto can't be spawned with minions due to the restriction of D2. Mephisto uses some special animation and if spawned with any minions, he turns invisible.
This seemed a serious problem, but the solution was easy. Giving him a boss, instead of minions. :)

-''Phantom Hatchets''
This skill is the throwing weapon version of Multiple Shot. But some part of Multiple Shot is hard-coded. If the missile is an arrow, it displays missile A (arrow) and %%%if the missile isn't an arrow%%% it displays missile B (bolt).
You can assign another missile animation to missile A and missile B. But none of throwing weapons is an arrow, so this skill always displays missile B. There are three kinds of throwing weapon, Javelins, Throwing Axes and Throwing Knives. But the skill can display only one kind of missile.
Now you can guess why all throwing weapons must be "magically converted into hatchets".

-''Raistlin's Salvation''
[[Raistlin Majere:http://www.dl3e.com/lexicon/13330.aspx]] is a character from the Dragonlance series. He is the twin brother of the big warrior Caramon and while Caramon was born a strong healthy child, Raistlin was born sickly and frail. The midwife didnt think he would survive, but was proven wrong as the halfsister of the twins took it upon herself to look after him. She later introduced them to the life as mercenaries, as warrior and mage. They were very successfull and could choose which jobs to take and which to walk away from (they always chose the jobs that could be described as "good").
In due course every wannabe mage, that wants to move beyond a certain "level", must take a test in one of the towers of sorcery (in Raistlin's day there was only one still functional). The test is different for each person and can range from being harmless to fatal, another objective of the test is to determin which affiliation the mage would have and this would be shown by the color robe he or she would wear (white=good, red=neutral and black=evil). In Raistlin's test he nearly died, he chose (during the test) to accept the offer of a evil wizard in the past, and use the power to survive, unknown to Raistlin at the time, the wizard intended to take over Raistlin's body at some later point in time.
Accepting the offer lend the wizard some of Raistlins lifeforce, which shattered his already frail body, giving it a sicky yellow/golden hue and him a bloody cough.
(It is later stated that Raistlin might have made it through on his own).
As the final part of the test, Raistlin is shown a image of his brother (who was always looking out for him) coming to save him using magic... the one thing that Raistlin had, that his brother didnt. Raistlin kills the image of his brother before passing out.
Caramon sees the entire test, but ultimately blames the wizards that makes the test.
As a lesson, the head of the tower, changes Raistlins eyes into golden hourglasses, so that everything he sees is decaying. Raistlin chooses the Red Robes because, as he later states, from Neutrality he can learn from both White and Black.
Raistlin leaves his brother and his companions to die, chooses the Black Robes and claims a Cursed unused Tower of Sorcery. He eventually travels back in time, kills the wizard that would have claimed his body and does what the wizard would have done, travel to the Abyss and challenge the Dark Queen (Goddess of Evil), where the wizard would have failed, Raistlin succeeds in entering the Abyss. His brother (not dead) have tried along the way to "save" his brother from himself, has given up and thinks Raistlin lost to evil, he only follows him to the portal, because he sees it as the only way back to his own time and his wife. Caramon and his companion Tasselhoff overshoots the date with a few years, coming home to a dead world, no life only mud and death (and lightning storms).
They travel to the tower of sorcery, where Raistlin (the god) is tormenting the wizard who gave him the golden eyes. The Scribe (god of neutrality) is writing the history of the world is about the shut the book (effectively meaning the world has ended) as Caramon barges in and takes the book, learns that Raistlin succeed in drawning the Goddess of Evil out of the Abyss and defeating her. Caramon goes back in time (to his correct time) and stops Raistlin from existing the Abyss, not by force, but by letting Raistlin see in his mind what will happen. Raistlin lets Caramon exit with the priestess Raistlin had been using to battle the Dark Queens minions, and helps Caramon close the Portal.
Raistlin gets killed by the Dark Queen, of that there can be no doubt.
Years later one of Caramon's children is taking the Test as his uncle did, only Caramon would never let him, so the wizards tricks Caramon in to it, by telling him that his brother is back, Caramon denies this as he claims that he have had a vision sent from one of the Gods, that his brother is at rest. But the wizard succeeds in getting him and his son to go with him. The Test that son goes through is in essence that the nephew enters the Abyss and saves his uncle from the torment of the Dark Queen (and gets tempted to chose the same path that Raistlin took). The son comes out the the test as one of the White Robes, the wizard then explans that it was the Test, and that he was sorry about the deception, but they didnt think he wouldve let his son take the Test (rightly so).
Unknown to anyone, conjuring the specter of Raistlin actually brings him back to life.
Which heralds the Fall of the Gods.. (read about that in The Dragons of Summerflame =).
